Produced in the Massif du Sancy mountains in the heart of the Auvergne Volcanic Regional Nature Park, Saint-Nectaire is a creamy, uncooked cow's milk cheese with hints of hazelnut that carries the AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) quality label.
The Maison du Saint-Nectaire in Saint-Nectaire is open to the public for tastings, aging cellar tours and information about the history, production and aging of this famous cheese.
