Saint-Marcellin cheese is produced in the welcoming town of the same name in the Dauphiné region. Formerly a goat's milk cheese, it is now made using cow's milk. This small, soft cheese with a bloomy rind goes very well with a glass of Côtes du Rhône red wine and in salads.
Saint-Marcellin cheese and a wide selection of other local specialities are available to taste and buy at the wine and food show held in the town in November each year.
