Surrounded by wheat and sunflower fields, this beautiful medieval fortified town in the Pays de Cocagne (Land of Plenty) possesses a charming square with a covered market hall surrounded by old timber-framed houses. The village of Saint-Félix-Lauragais, which was the seat of the first Cathar council in 1167, boasts a 14th-century collegiate church, a castle and a magnificent panoramic view of the Noire and Pyrenees mountains.
Over the Easter weekend, the Cocagne festival puts on entertainment and local crafts related to the history of the Lauragais. A good atmosphere is guaranteed!
