The Saint-Cosme priory, near Tours, welcomed in the 16th century Pierre de Ronsard, who was a prior there from 1565 until 1585. Ronsard's last home, the house of the prior today transformed into a museum, contains the bedroom and the office of the famous poet. The remains of the church standing in the middle of the garden contain his tomb.
Saint-Cosme priory's nine tranquil gardens, where roses and souvenirs of Ronsard and his poem "Mignonne, allons voir si la rose" are featured everywhere, are the perfect place to daydream.
