Built in 1804 by Napoleon Ier, the city of La Roche-sur-Yon possesses numerous neoclassical buildings, a typical architecture of the beginning of the 19th century. Along the Napoleon circuit lined with explanatory panels, the visitors can among others discover the Napoleon square decorated with a Napoleon Ier's equestrian statue, the Saint-Louis church, the Town hall, the former law court, the imperial secondary school, theatre, the Prefecture and the National Stud farm.
