Built in the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries on the site of a feudal moat, Riau Castle, located at the heart of Bourbonnais Sologne in the commune of Villeneuve-sur-Allier, forms a fine architectural group with its main building, entrance postern, service quarters and dovecote. The estate also has a remarkable tithe barn from 1584, a mix of brick and half-timbering. The castle is a listed Historic Monument and is surrounded by a pleasant landscaped park.
