Covering an area of 65,000 hectares, Queyras Regional Nature Park is home to a great deal of flora and fauna. It is a unique area for chamois, marmots, hares and partridges, as well as for hiking fans!
In addition to its unspoiled natural scenery that alternates between forests, gorges and mountain lakes, it is home to typical villages like the listed Saint-Véran, the striking hilltop fortress of Château Queyras, and an important rural heritage consisting of chapels, wayside crosses, sundials and fountains. You won't be short of things to do!
Worth visiting: the Park Visitor Centre in Arvieux and Nature House in Ristolas, both focused on the preservation of nature in this wonderful area.
Food fans will love the local honey and delicious cheeses.
