The magnificent landscapes offered by the Rustrel Colorado were formed by erosion and by former ochre careers. They were built for the extraction of ochre sand.

The location is marked today by series of ochre sculptures and cliffs with extraordinary colours ranging from light yellow to lively red. The Colorado forest is traversed by numerous footpaths. These various circuits allow discovering Sahara, the “cheminées de fées” (fairies' chimneys), cliffs, the white desert and more.
