The medieval castle of Péronne stands in a beautiful green and watery setting. This castle of the 13th century, as well as an adjacent modern building, are home to the Historial de la Grande Guerre today. This trilingual museum space is dedicated to the history of the First World war and groups together among others collections of military objects and everyday objects used by German, French and UK civilians.

Around the castle, the shaded banks of the Péronne lakes are a lovely place for a stroll.
