Located between the Pyrenees mountains and the Ocean, Pau is the capital of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. It enjoys a stunning setting surrounded by the mountain range that stretches from the Basque Country to the Central Pyrenees. The Pyrenees boulevard connecting the castle park with the Beaumont park offers a magnificent panorama.

The city, with its 14th-century castle, is quiet and pleasant. The district situated around the castle is particularly picturesque. Indeed, you can discover beautiful half-timbered houses as well as houses of the 16th and 18th centuries.
