Formerly named Brocéliande, the Paimpont forest is a place tainted by the legends associated with Merlin the Magician, the fairy Viviane and the Knights of the Round Table (Camelot). The different sites that can be discovered in the forest, such as the tomb of Merlin, the Fountain of Youth and the Valley of no return (Fairies' Mirror, Rock of the False Lovers) maintain the mystery.

Not to be missed: the village of Paimpont and its abbey church standing on the edge of a lake in the heart of the forest.
