The Gulf of Morbihan's principal activity is oyster farming, with an annual production of over 10,000 tonnes. The speciality is the flat oyster, which is native to the Gulf of Morbihan, but also the cupped oyster. An oyster discovery trail takes visitors on a tour of oyster farms.
