On the scenic Opal Coast road are two important national natural sites: Blanc-Nez cape (white nose cape), a 134-metre high sheer chalk cliff, and Gris-Nez cape (‘grey nose cape'), 45 metres high and made of grey clay, sandstone and limestone. From the top of these impressive cliffs, the view of the Opal Coast, of boats coming and going and of the English coast is stunning. A beautiful footpath connecting both capes is a great way of admiring the wild and unspoiled scenery. Happy walking!
