Normandie-Maine Regional Nature Park (Parc Naturel Régional Normandie-Maine) covers 257,000 hectares across two regions (Basse-Normandie and Pays de la Loire) and four départements (Orne, Manche, Mayenne and Sarthe). This vast territory consists of hedged farmland, forests, orchards, rivers, lakes, marshland, moors and peat bogs, and is home to the Mancelles Alps, a region of steep rocky and wooded slopes, and the two beautiful forests of Andaines and Écouves, paradise for nature- and mushroom-loving walkers!

The park visitor centre (Maison du Parc) is located in Carrouges, along with a famous château. The former comprises a tourist information point and a museum space dedicated to water, the forest, built heritage and human customs.

Several discovery trails through the park make a good way of exploring its treasures: the Perry Trail (Route du Poiré), Orne Stud and Châteaux Trail (Route des Haras et des Châteaux de l'Orne), the Three Forest Trail (Route des Trois-Forêts) and the In the Land of Lancelot of the Lake Trail (Au Pays de Lancelot du Lac). A packed programme to keep you busy!
