This giant Provence mountain, reaching 1,912 metres at its highest point, is easily recognisable by its limestone-covered peak. Listed as an UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, this white mountain is characterised by the great diversity of both its climate and its vegetation, which ranges from Mediterranean plants and beech forests at its foot to arctic plants at its peak.

The arrival at the top is really magic! First, for its lunar aspect, but also for the exceptional panoramic view of the fantastic surrounding sites, such as Luberon, the Nesque gorges, the Sainte-Victoire mountain and even on the Mediterranean coast in clear weather.

Mount Ventoux is also very popular with sporty types. Known for being particularly challenging, its ascent is a favourite with cyclists. In winter, when the slopes are covered in snow, skiing is possible in resorts such as Mont Serein and Chalet-Reynard.
