The small friendly town of Mortagne-au-Perche in the Orne, the black pudding capital, honours its culinary speciality made of pig's blood, pork fat and onions at the famous Foire au Boudin every third weekend in March. The festivities include an international competition for the best black pudding, cookery demonstrations and even a contest for the best black pudding eater!
