Covering 2,200 hectares and reaching 195 metres altitude at its highest point, this hilly forest lying north of the town of Montmorency is filled with chestnut, oak and beech trees and Scots pines. Crossed by a network of footpaths and tracks, Montmorency forest is the ideal place for walking and jogging.
A lovely round walk takes you to the medieval Château de la Chasse, located in the heart of the forest on the banks of two lakes, and back in about 30 minutes.
