The charming small medieval town of Montfort-l'Amaury offers visitors its heritage: the Saint-Pierre church and its 37 magnificent windows dating from the 16th century; the old charnel house in the cemetery, with its carved door of Flamboyant Gothic style and its arcaded galleries; the remains of the ramparts and the medieval keep.
Not to be missed either, the Maurice Ravel museum that can be visited in the house where the famous composer used to live for over fifteen years.
