Set on the site of the former Delloye pit, the Mining History Centre of Lewarde is the biggest mining museum in France and takes in three centuries of coal-mining. Besides recreations and permanent exhibitions dedicated to the world of mining, there are guided tours by ex-miners. The visit takes in the miners' changing room, washroom and lamp store, followed by the underground galleries and 10 coalfaces.
