Masgot, a charming little village in the commune of Fransèches, is unique because it's decorated with numerous granite sculptures. Made in the 19th century, these original and unusual creations are the work of the stone-cutter François Michaud, an inhabitant of the village.
A stroll through the narrow streets of the village reveals wonderful house facades and boundary walls decorated with naive sculptures representing people and animals.
For those wishing to learn the art, sculpture courses are available at the Stone Centre.
Not to be missed: François Michaud's birth house which re-creates a 19th-century Limousin interior.
