Lers lake (l'Etang de Lers) enjoys a stunning natural setting at an altitude of 1,274 metres at the foot of Mount Béas in the town of Le Port, in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees Regional Nature Park (Parc Naturel Régional des Pyrénées Ariégeoises). Numerous outdoor activities are available there: trout fishing and walking around the lake in the summer, and snowshoeing and cross-country skiing around the frozen water in winter.
