In the Orient Forest, an area protected by the Regional Nature Park, three artificial lakes forming a 5,000-hectare surface area are of great interest for sporty types, tourists, and those who love nature and wild birds. Each of these three lakes propose very specific activities:
• The Orient lake, which extends over 2,500 hectares, is perfect for sailing, diving and swimming. Pleasant sandy beaches will delight summer visitors. The Northeast part of the Orient lake is a bird sanctuary protecting numerous bird species.
• 1,830 hectares in size, the Temple lake is reserved for fishing and for canoeing.
• Finally, the Amance lake is devoted to speedboating on 490 hectares: water-skiing and motorboats are top of the agenda.
Walkers are also catered for along the pleasant shores of the lakes.
