Impressive medieval fortress of the 15th century which boasts towers, ramparts, a covered way and a drawbridge, the Langeais castle also possesses a beautiful Renaissance facade on the garden side. Remarkable, the inside of the Langeais castle is richly and splendidly decorated. It is here even that took place the luxurious wedding celebration between the king Charles VIII and the duchess Anne de Bretagne in 1491. Open to visitors, the guardroom, the wedding room and the furnished bedrooms will fully satisfy lovers of ancient furniture, tapestries and monumental fireplaces. The ruins of the keep stand in the garden of the castle.
