Situated near the village of Chassenon, the Lavaud and Mas Chaban lakes offer a range of water-based leisure activities, such as sailing, canoeing, catamaraning, windsurfing, optimist sailing, and fishing, while benefiting from a quiet and peaceful natural setting. Lovers of swimming and relaxation will also be satisfied since the Lavaud lake offers two pleasant fine-sand beaches.

Benefiting from a wooded and unspoiled environment, these two water reservoirs attract numerous species of birds, such as the heron, the common greenshank, the great crested grebe and the common coot. These wild birds can be admired from the ornithological look-out post of Foucherie.
