Very popular already in the 19th century for the mildness of its climate, the town of palm trees has retained all its charm today. The Massillon gateway marks the entrance to the medieval old town of Hyères. The picturesque narrow streets, lined with old houses and colourful facades, as well as the beautiful Massillon square decorated with beautiful café terraces, are some of the places not to be missed. The wonderful parks and the hilltop gardens, such as the Saint-Bernard park, the Cubist garden of the Noailles villa, and the Sainte-Claire park, are a haven of peace.
