The small town of Huriel has kept two beautiful 12th-century listed monuments from its feudal past: the Romanesque Church of Our Lady, crowned with an octagonal bell tower, and La Toque Keep, which stands 33 metres tall. The latter, once part of the old lords' castle, houses a museum about medieval history and the town's wine-producing traditions. Open from early June to late September, the museum also has a wooden scale model of the old castle in the truncated tower, just next to the keep.
