Le Guilvinec is the first French port for traditional fishing. Its port and quaysides come to life at about 4 pm when the ships come back from their day's fishing and you can watch the fishermen unloading the fresh fish (monkfish, skate, cuttlefish, langoustines etc). Some of this seafood is destined for the many canneries in the region.
Haliotika, a discovery centre, explains all about sea fishing.
