Reaching 1,424 metres at its highest point, the Grand Ballon is the highest peak of the Vosges mountains. A radar in the shape of a big white ball stands at the top, as well as a commemorative monument. A footpath offering numerous viewpoints takes walkers up to the summit. There is a beautiful view of surrounding area from the peak.
