Connected to the mainland by two sand dunes known as a "double tombolo", Giens peninsula comprises wild coasts, creeks, beaches and pine forests. Pesquiers lake, situated between the tombolos, is a favourite place for migratory birds. The delightful, must-see little harbour of Niel has preserved its picturesque character. The pier for crossings to Hyères islands is located at the harbour of Tour Fondue tower.
