Present in almost all the Haute-Saône villages, these monuments are generally decorated with flowers and very well maintained. They were created around water and are sometimes quite simple, sometimes very sophisticated. Fountains-laundries remind one of the big preoccupations of the 19th century, which was to bring water in the heart of the village to meet the needs of inhabitants and breeding. Rather different architectures can be observed: laundries covered with arches like in Ray-sur-Saône, uncovered fountains like in Fondremand, temples with an ancient architecture like in Etuz and circular bare fountains like in Champlitte. | LOCALISATION IN HAUTE-SAÔNE | | | |
