Nestling on the banks of the Andelle, in a romantic, verdant setting in the commune of Radepont, the Cistercian Abbey of Our Lady of Fontaine-Guérard, founded in the late 12th century, is a superb example of Anglo-Norman Gothic architecture.
Part of the Historic Norman Abbey Route, this old nunnery, open to the public from April to October, has retained a number of relics from its past: the ruins of the abbey church with its vaulted chancel; the 15th-century Chapel of St. Michael; the troglodytic cellar; and the nuns' building with its beautiful chapterhouse, work room and dormitory.
