Tucked away in Hurepoix, above the Salmouille Valley, Saint-Jean-de-Beauregard Castle, a listed historic monument, is open to visitors from mid-March to mid-November, on Sunday and bank holiday afternoons. Its landscaped domain, a certified Remarkable Garden, is admired by all garden-lovers, with its marvellous French-style 17th-century kitchen garden, full of flowers, fruit and ancient vegetable varieties, and its park, planted with hornbeams, chestnut trees, oaks and lime trees, consisting of a French-style garden and an English-style area.
Its dovecote with 4 500 putlogs is the biggest dovecote in Ile-de-France!
Each year the domain hosts major gardening events, such as the perennial plant festival in April, and the festival of plants, fruits and vegetables of yesterday and today in September.
