Near Cassis, the Canaille mountain and its scenic Corniche de Crêtes coastal road, majestically overhanging the sea, is an unmissable way to admire the beautiful coastal countryside. The high cliffs that plunge into waters offer wonderful viewpoints of the sea, the islands, the creeks and the coast.
It is on the Canaille cape and at the Grande Tête that the cliffs are the most impressive. Being respectively at 362 metres and 399 metres in height, these two steep cliffs are the highest in France! The vertiginous height takes your breath away! Dedicated viewpoints allow to take advantage of the site.

After visiting La Ciotat, sandy beaches (including a non-smoker), its creeks and its old port, you will drive to Cassis by the cornice of the peaks, a wonderful discovery to make preferably in the morning, because of the sunshine. You will pass the highest point, over 300 meters above the sea, from the vertical. You are on one of the highest cliffs in Europe! You will discover La Ciotat and the extraordinary Bay of Love, opening on Saint-Cyr, Bandol, Sanary, The Brusc off. On the sea you will see the rocky islets and life boats of all sizes, then the Bay of Cassis, a small resort you reach the bottom of a steep descent. The cornice of the Peaks is closed to traffic on windy days in fire protection. |
