The birthplace of the Princes of Condé, Condé-en-Brie Castle is a listed Historic Monument containing magnificent interior decoration from the 17th and 18th centuries, produced by prestigious artists such as Watteau, Boucher, Oudry and Servandoni, at the request of the Bourbons, the Condés, the Princes of Savoy and the Marquis of La Faye. As you visit the premises, which are open from mid-April to mid-October, admire the opulent decorations, ranging from the still lives by Oudry adorning the main drawing room, to the trompe-l'oeil pictures by Servandoni, through the frescoes in the Watteau wing...
Also discover its park with three hundred-year-old trees. Families can take part in a treasure hunt in the middle of the park.
After your tour of the estate, discover the charming village of Condé-en-Brie, with its 15th and 16th-century market hall supported by Doric pillars, and its wash-house decorated on the theme of a fable by La Fontaine.
