Produced in the Jura, the Doubs and the Ain, comté is a delicious cheese carrying the AOC quality label. It is a cooked pressed dough made from cow raw milk. Its is matured in cellar for at least 4 months and up to 36 months!

Often open to visitors, the numerous cheese dairies of the Jura in which comté is elaborated allow the discovery of the various manufacturing stages of this famous cheese.

The Comté House in Poligny offers a museum dedicated to this famous gastronomic speciality of the Jura.
