Crossed by the river of the same name, the stunning Clarée valley is dotted with charming villages and hamlets featuring beautiful churches decorated with wall paintings and sundials, houses with larch shingle roofs and picturesque chapels, all surrounded by unspoiled nature.

The religious buildings worth visiting are the 15th-century church of Saint-Marcellin in Névache, 17th-century church of Saint-Claude in Val-des-Prés, 16th-century church of Saint-Sébastien in Plampinet and the chapel of Fontcouverte.
