Built in the 12th century on the grave of the Breton Bishop Menoux, the Church of Saint-Menoux, a listed historic monument, is a superb testimony to Burgundy Romanesque art. Inside, the chancel is adorned with beautiful sculpted capitals and the ambulatory contains the unusual foramina of St. Menoux. This stone sarcophagus containing the relics of the saint has a hole in it which, according to the legend, can cure simple-minded people when they put their head inside!
After the visit, enjoy a rest in the charming gardens that stretch out at the foot of the chevet.
