Linen weaving and the production of the famous red handkerchiefs have made the town of Cholet famous.

The Textile museum housed in the former Rivière Sauvageau laundry recounts the history of the textile industry around Cholet and describes the manufacturing techniques. Weaving demonstrations are also put on.
