Opened to public all year round, the Cheverny castle, still inhabited, is a building of classic style dating from the 17th century. The inside of the castle is exceptional with its rich furniture, its rare objects and its magnificent tapestries. Unmissable, its visit allows among others to discover the room of the king, the drill hall, the library and the tapestries lounge. A particularly sumptuous set! The castle of Cheverny is also unusual in that it has been a source of inspiration for the draftsman Hergé. This majestic residence, without its two pavilions, indeed immediately evokes the image of the Moulinsart castle and the captain Haddock, a popular character of the famous comic strip of Tintin. A permanent exhibition, The Secrets of Moulinsart, is dedicated to the world of Tintin. The very pleasant park is an invitation to relaxation and stroll. Tours with electric motor cars or by boat on the canal are offered. They are excellent ways to discover the park and its natural heritage. | LOCALISATION IN LOIR-ET-CHER | | | |
