Situated at the edge of the Cher river, the magnificent flowerbeds of Diane de Poitiers' garden and Catherine de Médicis' garden offer a magnificent view of the castle and its two-floor gallery stepping over the waters of the Cher. The wooded park, the kitchen garden and the labyrinth also give rhythm to the walk. Once inside the Renaissance building, an exceptional decoration can be discovered through its numerous furnished rooms. An extraordinary collection of furniture dating from the Renaissance period, of paintings and of old tapestries ... Castles lovers are able to admire magnificent rooms, among which those of François 1er, Diane de Poitiers, Catherine de Médicis and five Queens, but also the green cabinet, the Louis XIV lounge, the chapel, as well as the kitchens of the castle which are in perfect condition. In summer, the night spectacle "Au temps des Dames de Chenonceau" (At the time of the Chenonceau Ladies), boat tours on the Cher river as well as night walks in the gardens are offered to the visitors.
