The high town reveals along the stroll its charming narrow streets and its beautiful buildings, witnesses of the past centuries. And so one can discover the magnificent Romanesque collegiate church of the 12th century with its magnificent carved chapiters, and five fortified castles, that are the Baronnial castle, the Harcourt castle, the Gouzon keep, the Flins tower, and the Montléon castle. Near the Saint-Pierre collegiate church, the Popular Traditions and Archaeology museum is home to a collection of archaeological objects, a reconstruction of a poitevin inside, as well as an exhibition of antiques, headgears and clothes. This museum also offers a place dedicated to the old professions. The Industrial Archaeology Space, housed in the Gouzon keep, is a museum dedicated to the history of the industrial heritage of the Chauvinois countryside. At the top of the keep, magnificent panorama on the roofs of the medieval town and the surrounding countryside. From the middle of March to the middle of November, a flying birds show named "the Giants of the Sky " is offered in the Baronnial castle.
