The town of Châtellerault, situated on the edge of the River Vienne, has an interesting heritage to explore, from Henri IV bridge and Descartes house to Saint-Jacques church and Sully mansion, home to the municipal museum.

Situated in the Manu, the town's former weapon factory, the Auto Moto Vélo museum traces the history of cars, motorbikes and bicycles through an exhibition of vehicles and other objects.
