The Château de Sarzay, a 14th-century fortress, was depicted by George Sand in her novel The Miller of Angibault. Once boasting 38 towers and 3 drawbridges, it today consists of a seigneurial residence flanked by 5 round towers, water-filled moats and a fortified chapel. Visit it for a trip back to the Middle Ages!
