The Renaissance Château de Brézé possesses the deepest dry moats in Europe. These very impressive moats are 18 metres deep and 13 metres wide!
Particularly unusual, the galleries extending under the castle form a real underground fortress which can be visited. This troglodyte set is home to notably wine cellars, wine presses, a bakery, a silk worm farm (magnanerie) and a rampart walk (chemin de ronde).
