Over 2000 hectares in size, the magnificent Chabrières forest, situated right in the heart of the Mounts Guéret, is crossed by numerous hiking, mountain-biking and riding trails. Besides its rich fauna and flora, this forest boasts a chaos of unusual rocks that have inspired many legends with their mysterious shapes formed by erosion.

The forest area of Chabrières is also home to a wolf park, the Mounts Guéret Wildlife park "Les loups de Chabrières", where you can observe packs of wolves living in semi-liberty in the vast enclosures. A museum reveals the wolf to visitors through its history, behaviour and relationship with humans.
