The city of Vallauris is renowned for its arts and crafts, and especially for pottery and ceramic. Pottery here is an ancient tradition. In the 20th century, Picasso played an important role in the arts and crafts of the city with its ceramic production.

The National Picasso museum, the Ceramic museum and the Pottery museum can be discovered.

The high street of the city has many shops offering potteries and ceramics.

It is in Vallauris that is held the International Biennale of Contemporary Ceramics, an exhibition of contemporary ceramic.
