From the Jacobins quay, the view of the old colourful houses of Castres lining the River Agout is remarkable. These former tanners and dry cleaners houses constitute today a great tourist place. It is possible to admire these residences onboard one of the picturesque wooden boat.

The Goya museum is located in the ancient episcopal palace and is dedicated to Spanish paintings, and more especially to those of the famous Spanish artist, Francisco de Goya's work.

Outside the museum, the garden of the Bishop's palace offers magnificent flowerbeds looking like embroidery that were drawn by Le Nôtre. The old town also suggests to discover its town houses, among which the Viviès town house and the Nayrac town house.
