From the top of its 176 metres, the charming town of Cassel magnificently dominates the Flanders plain. From the peak of the Cassel mountain, on which stands a beautiful wooden windmill of the 18th century, the walkers will enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding landscapes. Below, the Grand'Place square decorated with pavements, the old houses, and the Notre-Dame collegiate church of Flemish Gothic style, get revealed along the stroll.

The Noble Cour town house, a Flemish building of the 16th century, is home to the local Flanders museum.

The Mill festival takes place every year on July 14th.
