Situated at the confluence of the Loire and the Vienne rivers, the village of Candes-Saint-Martin constitutes a pleasant stopover, with its houses along the water and its fortified collegiate church dating from the 13th and the 15th centuries. A charming stroll leading to the top of the hill of the village gives a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside and in particular the confluence of the two rivers.
