Built between 1775 and 1832, the Burgundy canal allows to join the Saône and the Yonne rivers. 242 kilometres in length, the canal features 191 locks! It is in Pouilly-en-Auxois, the Côte-d'Or, that the Burgundy canal goes through one underground passage of 3333 metres long to cross the watershed between the Rhône and the Seine rivers.

Crossing beautiful landscapes, the Burgundy canal is a very pleasant waterway for barges.
